Good taste love the cheese would buy again.

Bought as an Easter gift for my cheese loving wife who loved x4 of the favoured cheeses, thought the extra mature one was OK but is not a fan of smoked cheese which, was my favourite!Highly recommended and I think quite good value for money.The packaging isn't exciting. Basically a cardboard box will some straw on which the chesses sit. But hey, it's all about the cheese, right? What's the point of fancy packaging if the cheeses were pants. And at this price point, how good does one expect the packaging to be?We now have an enormous amount of cheese to eat during the next week. If not opened, the cheeses generally have approximately 6 months + shelf life. But we were greedy and wanted to try them all. So now we have x6 cheeses to finish soon!Happy to reccomend as great flavours, individually they look great and super value for money!Don't hesitate... buy!I have nothing to do with the Welsh Cheese maker... was not asked to write a review in anyway. I write this review as quite frankly, credit where credit is due.

Good value and made a good present for a cheese lover

Lovely taster for Christmas, a good topic of conversation!I have given this a five star rating because the cheeses are very high quality, and certainly something to talk about over the Christmas dinner table. However, I have to say that they would not be my choice for frequent buying. The mature cheddar was not very mature at all, and like all of the cheeses was very creamy, not really my choice for a cheddar. I was hoping for a more traditional cheddar to be included and certainly something with more bite. Same really with the mature red Leicester, concentrated on creamy rather than mature, if you get what I mean. The Red Leicester and chilli was fascinating, it had such a strong chilli flavour it was like eating solid chilli con carne! Amazing flacour. I am afraid I didn't like the cheddar and ginger or garlic variants. The cheddar and pickly was delicious but again was creamy but not like any cheddar I have ever tasted before. It was barely a hard cheese. So all in all, a fantastic fun and deserves five stars for that, but not something I would buy again. I would love to see a more tradition hard, mature chedder included.

Been buying these cheeses for a while for all their different flavours. However a word of warning, do not fall into the trap as I did thinking that the same wax colour means you are getting the same cheese as you had before ! I now tell myself to read the descriptions properly as in a previous delivery I had an orange coloured truckle that was flavoured with whisky. This set of 6 included the Truffle, Black Bomber and an Orange coloured wax one that I automatically took for granted was Whisky flavour. Not so, last night, with some crackers I opened up the orange coloured wax one, found it very sweet and no taste of whisky, thought 'odd' - checked the label and found it was Orange and Ginger. However I could not taste the ginger. The reason I have not given 5 stars is because a couple of the cheeses do not seem to be as mature as before, i.e. they appear young and thus the depth of flavour is not yet there.

Beautifully packed, box great for storage, cheese was delicious as always, great buy.

Bought as a Christmas present and the recipient said the cheese was superb.

I separated this pack for friends at xmas. It went down well. Three friends having 2 each.
