These are great hinges for the purpose. We were able to install them ourselves onto a home made bookcase. The only problem we had was the spring latch. It’s a fine latch, it just didn’t work for our door and wall specifications. We had to improvise with a gate latch. Overall it is a great product!

Absolutely PERFECT for our hidden bookcase door. I’ve ALWAYS wanted a hidden door so in our basement we had one built and this latch is perfect. Shuts easily. Stays closed. Looks great!

⸻I recently installed seven Tampan pivot hinges in a row and overall, I’m pleased with the result—though the process wasn’t without its challenges. The bottom hinge was surprisingly easy to install and worked just as advertised. Where things got a bit tricky was the adjustable top hinge. It took some finesse to get everything aligned correctly, and in a few spots, I had to create more clearance in the wood to allow the pin to move freely.One tip for future installers: make sure to find a method to align the top hinge perfectly with the bottom hinge. There may be a trick to this, but I found myself having to shift the top hinge slightly to get the doors to hang level. Since I was working with older doors, I also ran into issues with screw placement, where there wasn’t always solid material for the screws to bite into—something to keep in mind.All that said, once installed, the hinges look and function great. If you’re patient and precise, these hinges offer a clean, modern pivot solution. I’d recommend them, especially if you’re working on a project that benefits from minimal visible hardware

These heavy duty hinges worked great but no thanks to the meager instructions. Still took some Googling how to install and how close to the edges for ideal mounting. Using a nail and a bunch of holes through a test board worked best to figure out swing path and max width of my shelf.For me, I chose to build 79.75" tall x 23.75" wide x 7.75" deep with 3/4" cabinet grade plywood. Once I got the frame loosely put together with top and bottom boards routed to mount these hinges flush and tested opening and closing before proceeding with build.Interesting note is that the cabinet doors are thin boards with peel and stick wallpaper so we can swap out the color and look as interests change (or season). The doors themselves are a giant pain though as clearing the murphy door trim means it needs to be flush. Going with sliding doors would have been far easier or finding hinges that could have cleared the 1" trim for those trying to build this. this was my first but prob not my last as it was challenging but "fun".

Our design plan didn't cone together, solid had to return these. However, I did like them and would recommend to others. Very heavy weighted material, would have been perfect if plans hadn't changed....

I made a hidden door under our stairs so my wife could have a wine closet. This hidden hinge worked perfectly for the job. You have to know what you are doing, but the instructions were very clear and the provided video helped out a lot.

Hinge works properly and smooth but there is a flaw that the manufacturer needs to address and that is the little screw that runs the hinge up and down needless to have a stop which DOESN'T allow the screw to go in to deep allowing it to come out of the threads which happened in my case and was a nightmare to get back into the threads. They could simple damage the last thread on the screw itself which will work as a stop. Simple enough fix that can be done on there end to better this product

Solid hinges that work well.These replaced a previous set that someone else installed and they did a perfect job.
