Farrrrrr superior to classic fluorescent bulbs. Money-saver too!
In the interests of driving down the electric bill and doing a part in the save-the-earth push, I've made efforts to convert all old-style incandescents to LED bulbs at my home. With that task complete, a fluorescent tube bulb that burned out led me to discover this product. I had seen LED tube bulbs at home improvement stores so I knew they could work in existing fixtures but those tended to have high price premiums at those stores, especially relative to the classic bulbs... so this waited until one burned out before I gave it another good round of research.Finding these on Amazon, I was impressed by very good reviews and relatively low price, especially in the multi-bulb value pack. So I gave these a try. If they worked well, great. If they didn't, price was not huge and Amazon has great return policies.Long story short: WOW! I regret not switching all fluorescents to these much longer ago. Along with the power-sipping benefit, they are brighter and light up (in full) quicker than the old ones. In a dark 2-car garage, I paired them with a motion-sensing switch to auto-on as anyone comes through either door and they light up the whole garage well before one foot hits the garage floor. This is not dull light like the light that comes on in a garage door opener. It is BRIGHT and really lights up the whole garage.Installation was pretty easy but KEY TIP: follow the instructions. While the ends of the bulbs are just like the ends of fluorescents, it's not completely plug & play in every case. If you look at your fixture and it has a ballast (see the image right in the Amazon pictures for this product), that must be removed. There's not much to removing it, but don't get the idea of "let me just try it as is" as that ballast MUST come out for these to work right. Just trying it with the ballast will probably damage the bulb electronics and/or has other risks. So follow the instructions. Or hire an electrician to follow the instructions for you. I was able to do it myself in only a few minutes with only modest knowledge, but ballast removal is something that definitely must be done to make fixtures with ballast work with these modern LED tubes. With that change, they do plug right in and work really well... much BETTER than the old type of bulbs they replaced. They don't get very hot like old bulbs and they don't have any buzz that I can hear. If you want or need to replace tube fluorescents at your place, I'd definitely give these a try.And don't forget to properly dispose of the fluorescents these replace, which is NOT just tossing them in the trash. The home improvement stores will generally take in old ones through recycling or proper disposal programs, or you can do some searches for other disposal options online. For example, in my town, they have a dedicated day every month where a truck collects the kinds of things- like tube bulbs- that should not be tossed in the regular trash pickup.

Easy & Bright LED for Do-it yourself
Bright LED, did myself, very easy plus use old fixture. Just removed Ballast, connect positive on one side, neg on the other. Two (2) Sided Connection LED Bulb is the way to go in my opinion because one does not have to remove and replace tombstones; just wire & plug in.Just be aware; there are about three different configuration of bulbs; ballast, one sided, and two sided. So make sure you get what you want because there could be safety concern if not. My local electric store did not have 2 side connection, wanted to sell me tombstone kits and bulbs (more work and cost). Thanks for making this product available. Now I must replace all the old fluorescent bulbs.

Packaging error.. received wrong bulbs
Well I was really happy with my first purchase of the 6,000k lumens so I ordered another pack to replace the other side of my basement. I didn’t bother opening the box until I was ready to use them (which is now past the return deadline) and all 4 light bulbs are 5,000k lumens. The package box says 6,000k so I got duped and not happy because I can’t do anything about it. I wanted to leave 5 stars because the lights and price are great but now I have 2 different colors in 1 room do to their packaging error. Not sure if I’ll bother ordering more now..

Great value. Really bright, More like 5500k
4.5 stars. They are a great value and work nice. The color is a little “bluer” than I expected but good in a retail environment. What is really awesome is 1 bulb replaced 2 t8 fluorescent with a light output of 500 lux ( our fluorescent put out with 4 bulbs 645 lux) . I would definitely recommend these if you are looking for a slightly brighter than 5000k application. It’s a noticeable color difference between the fluorescent and led so if you are going to replace them do all in the same area

Great bulbs, instant bright lighting
I had trouble with the old style bulbs and ballast for two years, half of my old style lights would work any given day in my shop. In less than two hours I had rewired my fixtures and installed the new LED bulbs. They lit instantly, they don't take a half hour to warm up and have full light and they don't make that annoying humming noise the old lights did. I love them, much whiter light and brighter.

All 4 broken
I odered 4 and all 4 were defective in the same way: one end with the 2 pins had the thin plastic cracked and then pushed in to the tube some. The plastic looked very thin and brittle. It needed better padding on the ends to protect them. Needless to say, I am returning them.

Really brightened the kitchen and lowered our energy cost
These tubes were to convert a 4 tube ceiling light in our kitchen from fluorescent to LED. We were tired of replacing the bulbs and hoped to save a little on the electric usage as well. The bulbs arrived quickly and in good shape. The conversion instructions for bypassing the ballast were clear and easy to follow. That process only took about 5 minutes. The lights are much brighter than the fluorescent ones and it gave the kitchen a bright and clean look. We've had the bulbs for about 6 months and have had no problems. I expect to convert some other fixtures soon.

Broken, then burns out.
I opened the package to find one broken. I go to install the non-broken ones, the same way I have already done it many times (remove the ballast, reconnect the wires, etc.) and it blows out the second I turn it on. I am seriously disappointed with this light.
