Best thing since LED TV's :) VERY happy with this version. It works for both inverter test and LED test. Fully automatic is well worth the investment.

I love this little TKDMR Model #TD3H LED/Component tester. I really love the 1mA switch so you can test components, or LED's without getting blinded by the bright light! I like also that the tester gives you the ability to adjust the voltage and current even without using the 1mA!I haven't done any extensive research of the tester yet, but I have repaired my TV that had some problems with the LED backlight strips.I also tested three tiny 0402 bidirectional TVS diodes. Using the 1mA switch so that the tester would not conduct PN junctions, I found different readings. So I removed them to check them off-board and found two of them to be bad.So far the tester has been a great addition to my workbench! I am very happy with it!

I used mine to find and fix the problem with my 60" HDTV that was causing the backlight to go dark intermittently. The TV has worked perfectly ever since, and the tester is useful for checking all LEDs--individual or in strings. A little pricey, perhaps--but can save you a lot on TV repair (providing you have the skills to do the repair job).
