Really cool, great set for kids who want to fix
I really didn't think my 2.5 year old would respond well to it, but its probably the most used toy of the last month - she just runs around 'fixing' everything. The apron, not so much, and the box is more of a storage solution that something she puts stuff back into - so mostly expect all the tools to be dotted around the house and you'll go on a mystery tour trying to find the screwdriver or pliers that are left in a room whilst a radiator was being 'fixed'.Great addition to any role play toys my daughter has, and a surprise one as it gets more use than a shop or a dolls house so far.

Excellent quality wooden tool set
This wooden tool kit is well-made and very sturdy. It comes with different tools for my little girl to build according to the instructions and be creative. She has been playing with it and loves carrying it up and down. This fun DIY toy kit is priced at £19.99 at the time of review, which I think is great value considering the amount of tools included and the build quality. Highly recommended!

Absolutely outstanding toy in manufacture and play-value
Beautifully put together set in a lovely wooden box. This honestly is such a cute set, with so much more in it than I expected. Sized to small hands, this has loads of stumpy-chunky tools in bright colours. Some, like the saw, obviously don't work at all, but others, like the screwdrivers and spanners, actually work with the small set of wooden nuts, bolts and plates that can be fastened together into whatever shape can be imagined. In fact I would love to have seen more of these parts in the kit, or to be able to buy extension packs of plates, nuts and bolts, so that bigger items could be constructed.I brought this out when my five year old niece came round, and she was just ionstantly engaged, wanting to handle everything and asking a lot of questions. It offers a chance for both interactive play, but it was clear that after about 40 minutes when she was still sat up to the coffee table with her loittle apron on, concentrationg deeply, it gave good scope for solitary play as well. Myself and her mum paused every so often in our chat to acknowledge whatever she had constructed (they made sense to her, though we needed an explanation every time ;P ), then something we said would inspire her, and she was off back to her table, to dismantle and re-assemble. We even ended up making extera bits for her by cutting pieces out of a cereal box and cutting holes in them so that she could fasten them together with the bolts in the kit.As a kit it's teaching so much in terms of hand-eye co-ordination, applied logic, forethought, and imagination. Everything seems sturdy and well made, and like it will last. The amount of play-value it gives is really impressive.A really good toy all round. It looks wonderful, it feels like an occasion when it's brought out and opened up for play, it has the potential for solo or interactive play, and myself, I love to see wooden toys rather than the ubiquitous plastic. Even when stored on a shelf, they look beautiful.Really can't fault this; excellent toy.

There's a lot in here
This is such a durable set. So many pieces, all made really well. The tools actually work too. The pliers, hammer, wrench, and screwdrivers are all functional, and there are nuts, bolts and screws that can be used as well. So when you give this took set to your children, you know it will get their minds working while they enjoy themselves. They will actually come away from this having used actual tools. It's a lovely set, so well made and presented nicely in a great time case. It's good to get their hands and minds constructive too, rather than occupied by some screens. A good choice.
