The Wedding Dress Repair Shop, is a positive, joyful story and I loved the quite, strong characters who had their moments of great passion and fire. As always,it's a joy to read a Trisha Ashley story.

Not my favorite, but still a cozy read
I am a huge Trisha Ashley fan and love her books. 'The Wedding Dress Repair Shop' was a nice and cozy read, but is not my favorite Trisha Ashley book. I enjoyed the storyline and characters. It just missed her usual wit that I love so much.

Fantastic gentle read
I love Trisha Ashley’s book (I have them all!) and this one does not disappoint. The way she interweaves the historical aspect with the current day is wonderful. Not to mention all the details about the wedding dresses. The characters are lovely and kind (apart from a few mean ones) and it a pleasant time going along with them on their journey in this book.I love how the foursome came about and the acceptance in the community for Garland. I love her cousin’s character. Such a get it done person. And so supportive of Garland. Which Garland really needed. Some great twists that I didn’t see coming too!I highly recommend you read this book.

not worth it
The book was trying to duplicate a formula from her other books but it didn’t succeed. It plodded, unlike her other books. The title was incorrect; it is not about a ‘wedding repair shop’ but about the setting up of a museum of wedding dresses from weddings that had gone wrong for various reasons. A highlight of the museum was that some of the wedding dresses were bloody. The idea that anyone would think such a museum would be successful seems ridiculous. Even a museum simply of types of wedding dresses through the ages would have made more sense as a premise.Much of the book was detail about fitting up the interior of the building, acquiring the glass cases, designing a logo, even setting up a donation box so the paying visitors could contribute more to this unlikely museum. Separately there were details about the heroine setting up her new cottage and getting furniture for it (including a catflap for the cat). Lots of planning meetings. Lots of tedious details. The story was buried in there somewhere. The details in her previous books added interest. This book tried to use the same formula but lacked interest and charm.
