Angel on Assignment - An Angelic Tradition

It's always nice to learn about different religious beliefs and cultures and absorb the good things from them. I liked how this book encourages kids to act as angels to help those in need. I consider the message as universal.Note that this book may not be for folks who are from a different religion and not interested in imparting other religious beliefs to their kids. The story of angels is strongly tied to Christian beliefs and there is even a psalm at the end of the book.

A very insightful way to tell the story of angels and the events surrounding the birth of Jesus. Wanda Carter Roush did an excellent job merging rhyming words, stories from the Bible and ideas of the heavenly and earthly angels to make it easy for boys and girls to understand the GREATER story.Kids will love the “Let’s Make an Angel” project at the end of the book.The illustrations are Awesome!

I approached Angel on Assignment from two perspectives, first as a parent and second as an author.The first thing that impressed me was the high quality of the hardback book, which makes it perfect to pass down from generation-to-generation.The colors and attention to detail of the illustrations will enchant children as they are read the story.The timeless story is presented creatively and delivers comfort and peace to adults and children alike. Children will remember the story that Wanda Carter Roush superbly composed long after they become adults.Finally, there is a call to action that involves the child in making an angel that provides a daily reminder of God’s love and this story.If my daughter was still young, I know that she would want me to read this to her nightly.This is a beautiful book that your children will also read to their children and to future generations of your family for many years to come.I Highly recommend Angel on Assignment!

What a wonderful story and great lesson for kids and adults. The illustrations are captivating and there are even donuts activity ideas in the back that are super cute. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because the comment is made that all that is needed is to “say” you invite God into your heart and there is no mention of baptism. That could be a slippery slope, but I’m keeping the book anyway because the message is so good. I’ll just discuss with the kids that according to the Bible, baptism is required when we follow God’s commands and move on. It is a hard and a touchy subject to get into a child’s book especially while rhyming. ;)

This is such a heartfelt story and it will make you feel warm and cozy all over. I absolutely love that this story tells the story of Jesus and how angels came to be and what they do for us. It also teaches children a very important lesson that they should watch over others and help others when they are in need.

I was looking for some nice books to use with our Sunday School students when I stumbled upon this. A really great resource. It even has a craft activity at the back.I liked the way the author took us through angels in the bible and then extended it to angels in our lives. Cute pictures too.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I loved how this story allows us the reader to remember that our Heavenly Father did not leave us alone on the earth. That we (like the angels) should do the same. Great buy and tradition starter!

A sweet rhyming story for children about angels. I enjoyed the underlying message of helping one another when you can. If everyone did this the world would be a much better place. Kids will love the bright colorful illustrations and the how to build an angel for yourself kit at the end of the book.

Love the book, especially the illustrations. Highly recommend this book as a gift for kids. The book is packed with messages for kids. It starts with some religious context and then moves on to how religious values can be applied in life.

This delightful book reminds us of the angels that surround us and assist us unbeknownst to us, throughout our day. It's perfect for Sunday School and a wonderful reminder that we are not alone no matter what problems we face. It's also a great way to teach kids early to let go and have faith. The activity at the end is the cherry on top.

I loved the illustrations in this book.I love that classical style, you don't see much of that anymore. Sweet story as well.
