I'm a size 14 but ordered xl and pleased I did, even these are a bit tight.

Q: Are these padded sufficiently at the front of the pelvic bone?

I have found that yes, they are. The padding comes up at the front a good amount so you're comfortable no matter your position on the saddle.

Q: How does the xl and xxl fit with average uk size?

I am size 18 and had 2xL which fit fine - a note of caution I bought 2 pairs same size but different colours and one pair was smaller than the other - hope this helps

I'm a size 14/16 and bought "L". Great fit - I have ordered two more!
