This min-pc punches above weight class !
As an experienced user, I purchased this mini-pc to replace the family home desktop. The workhorse everyone has at home that multi-tasks as a media machine, bookkeeping, taxes, etc. Separate from employment and dedicated systems that need to be thoroughbreds based on function, i.e. data, gaming, etc.It replaces a 5urface 4, a 5y.o. workhorse machine that I cannot speak more highly about. That is until this mini-pc unit. It also needs to be backward compatible with the assorted hardware in the home office - ethernet/wi-fi, USB configurations, scanners & printer, OTA DVR streaming system, 5ONOS setup. Something that can run the household.I was comparing units seeking value in a pc with Windows Pro setup (10/11). One requiring minimal customization with a powerful processor and video with a significant ram. On the edge, but not bleeding edge. Oh, it has to be easily upgradeable, i.e., SSD. Nothing wonky or breakable. This unit delivers with Windows 11 Pro (early build dated 09/2022) UM590 AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with 32 GB RAM on the MB with a 512 GB SATA. A nice machine out of the box.As an experienced user & system builder, I look for a machine to split function. The system - operating system & applications separate from the data files, etc. It’s just more reliable. This required at minimum one additional 1TB SSD. This unit lined up the possibilities.Upon receiving the unit, unboxed it. All was intact. I sorted through the neatly packaged items (outstanding) and located the small (delicate) sata cable included. NOTE to Manufacturer- 2 HDD screws necessary for installation were not included) Not a showstopper or problem as I had them from prior units but most users will not have these available. As this is the case, I recommend taking inventory, be slow and steady. Huge plus, the documentation contained in the box provided step by step 'pictogram' and multi-language instruction for the process. The only recommendation- 1) first attach the cable to the new SSD, 2)- attach the SSD to PC cover – two hooks plus the 2 screws (tighten gently). 3) Then attach the dainty ribbon cable connector (white) to the mother board. There is a right/wrong way – align it before you commit. A gentle/even back & forth with a fingernail will seat the connection.Note – when you boot windows for the first time, do not connect to the internet. Recommend ‘partial’ installation. It’s mentioned in other reviews. Always best practice to line out any issues. Also, you’ll need to ‘add’ the new drive. Users can find instructions to do this through the WIN10/11 system support from MSFT. It’s super easy. Finally, it’s about security. As you have a new PC, I strongly recommend using windows bit locker on both the system disk and the secondary data disk in the initial setup. Set this first in your system – it will secure you data at rest. The test – I installed SQL 19 with a 100gb database. This unit was flawless executing scripts. The un-scientific test side by side with my 5urface Laptop Intel 9 64gb work machine running the same scripts on the same data – no observable difference. It stayed cool.I expect this to be a great machine and expect a 5-year lifecycle.Price $719 – coupon $100; add 1 TB SSD $72 upgrade = $691 plus local sales tax A bargain !Note prior reviews from customers observed some differences in units – this should be expected based on differing specifications. This is what I learned purchasing this unit and using it these last five days. A true value punching above its weight class.

Bloody Awesome 👍
This is the first time using such a small unit. My old PC was 12 years old and out of date. So I can fairly compare it to this new powerful mini PC. The quality is very good and I run almost 24/7. It hasn't heated up nor is it noisy. It has a 512 drive that I'll upgrade to a 2gb drive and 32 gb ram which will be upgraded to 64. Mostly used for video editing and my grandkids use for gaming. I absolutely love the small footprint and the amount of options it came with. It can be mounted to the back of your monitor(which is a 32 inch 4K unit). I didn't see the need to do that. Fast, fast, fast is all I can say about the speed. I'm not a high tech computer wizard so I can't share actual specs but if you're on the fence about something different and better than what you have, this is it!

So tiny, so quiet, boots so quickly
For the price, we are very satified with this mini PC. Having only had big towers in the past, with lots of fans and no solid state drives, we were amazed that this PC is so quiet. You barely hear anything. It boots in seconds. It came with Windows 11 Pro preinstalled, and it was a piece of cake to complete the setup.I wish we had a choice of Windows 11 Home version, because we use it at home, not a work environment, and had to disable or uninstall the office-oriented Pro features we will never use.Probably not satifying as a gamer's box, because on-board graphics are not fast enough to support high resolution on many graphically intensive games. That said, hubby installed Halo and has been happily playing it in the lower resolution setting.Overall, we are very satisfied and will purchase again. Would recommend for solid home system.

The good and bad
This is a decent small form factor PC. Great for normal things like surfing, office and more demanding things like video editing and photoshop. It;s small, quiet and powerful. Not a real gaming machine but it can play games if not at full resolution 1080p is ok for most action style games. The things they could improve. The major thing is the bios supplied. It's an American megatrends extremely basic bios with little room for tweaking and zero for overclocking. As the AMD overclocking utility for windows is not supported with this processor you have no real chance to try and get more performance out of it.. So forget overclocking. So yes it's worth the money but maybe not for power users or gamers.

A compact, high-performance PC for use with a flat-screen TV
If you have an unused, non-smart flat screen TV packed away, connect this mini PC to it via HDMI and enjoy the TV's comfortable screen. Add an external camera and mic for a conference workstation. I used a 24" TV and am delighted with the setup. I easily installed a 1TB storage drive inside the PC and am pleased with the responsiveness of this machine with 32GB RAM. Great graphics and acceptable sound, but when connected to a TV with good sound of its own, it's perfectly fine. Bonus: The PC is packed with a mounting plate for the back of a stand-mounted TV, utilizing the unused wall mounting. This takes the PC off the desk if you prefer.

Freezes and does not start
Unreliable, does not work alright with Windows 11 22H2. Keeps freezing, does not recognize drives, virtualization at very slow pace and just hangs at start up. Terrible machine and horrible support.
