Sharp and well made sickle
The sickle design is perhaps the most efficient method at trimming or pruning plants. The curved blade and pulling motion allow the almost effortless cutting action. The machete is sometimes overkill in cutting power and effort when it comes to green branches and the sharpness of the machete may not be enough for clean cuts.Clippers will do the job at trimming green branches but the motion of gripping and regripping can grow tiresome after hours of work.A very sharp sickle will cut with a slight flick of the wrist and the lightweight sickle is very efficient. The sickle arrives very sharp and is ready to cut. The handle and blade are of good quality and the blade is sharpened with a chisel grind, meaning only one side is sharpened. Clean and oil the blade after use to prevent corrosion.I'm very glad that I bought this sickle.

Wow! Just wow!
The reviewers and online video demos are no exaggeration! This thing is a powerhouse. To say it is crazy sharp would be an understatement. It’s well balanced and the handle is comfortable and it’s easy to wield about-murdering tall thick weeds n such. I tried it on a large area of 2-3 foot tall weeds that had stalks about one inch in diameter. I did not need to use any force at all, just a swing and it took em down like a hot knife going through butter. Whoa!! I was shocked at how little time and effort it took me to complete a large area. Would have been 2-3 times longer with the weed eater and would have burned thru a lot of string. Quality is great and the price is low. You will not be disappointed.

Handle works, blade is SHARP. Cuts great. It would be nice if it came with a usable shieth the thin plastic one it came with is not enough.

Sharper shaper
I bought this to cut back ivy and other overgrown vines. It worked beautifully. I needed to skim just under the surface of my beds to loosen points of contact and then clear the unwanted surface growth away. It sliced through both very easily and made quick work of my yearly maintenance. The extra length was helpful in that regard. Also used it to cut grass around my neighbors’ homes that had severely overgrown their curbs and was impervious to edgers. It sliced thru the material and really impressed my friends. Also cleared away weed growth in sidewalk and driveway cracks. Have not attempted to sharpen it yet and will report on that later. Only negative is the rubber handle cover can slide off the grip on prolonged, forceful pulling. Would have been nice to have a more robust blade guard than the plastic sheath provided.

Most under-utilized farm and garden tool
I got this sickle for a landscaping job I stumbled upon that involved the removal of thick, resilient and poisonous vines. It handled and continues to handle wonderfully.I am not in any way affiliated with this company and this is not an incentivized review. The sickle seems to be very common in asian countries and I didn't really start to see their use until I began spending more time in Hawai'i, which has a lot of asian cultural influence. Even the Ace hardwares here have them, however many are designed for lighter weeding and gardening tasks. This sickle in all seriousness was perhaps the best 20 bucks I've ever spent. For vines, I feel that it is more effective than a machete since it cuts and pulls. I even use this for light chopping, up to 1/2" thick green wood, not dry though. Although it's sturdy, I don't think it's full tang (meaning that blade blank doesn't run down inside the entire length of the handle), so don't get too crazy with the chopping. The blade is ground/beveled on one edge only (like loppers) and obviously the blade itself is curved so sharpening takes a little consideration but is still easy. You can use a round metal file or perhaps a round puck-type whetstone. I use a tungsten carbide tool I purchased on you know where that works wonders but takes a little practice. It's made by Sharpal and here's the link: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L8VKZO0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I don't have affiliation with this company either. The only thing I wish this tool had was a sheath that fit on a belt, but that would just be icing on the cake. This tools efficacy helped to open my eyes to the world of sickles and sickle machetes. My next landscaping tool purchase will be a full-tang sickle machete made by Silky, the professional arborist company, since it can handle chopping better.Way to go Zenport and thank you for a wonderful tool!

Slice of Excellence - So Sharp, It’s Dangerous!
Wow, where do I even start? This sickle is so sharp that it cut me before I even had a chance to use it! I was just opening the packaging, minding my own business, and bam—my hand met the precision of this blade. One trip to the ER and a few stitches later, I can confidently say: this thing means BUSINESS.Now, I know what you’re thinking: 'Why give a product that made you bleed 5 stars?' Easy. Because this sickle is simply too good at its job. If it can slice through my hand that effortlessly, imagine what it’ll do to weeds! 😅Whether you’re looking to do some serious gardening or live out your best Grim Reaper cosplay, this bad boy won’t disappoint. Just make sure to keep a first-aid kit handy—you’re gonna need it! 🔪💥10/10 would recommend (but maybe open it while wearing armor next time)!

Great tool.
I really like this tool. It's made well and actually sharp. It's perfect for clearing thick vines, briars, even young trees and bushes. Just remember it's a pull and cut blade, and not a hacking blade. The only trouble I had with it was my husband. He kept taking it to use when we were clearing an overgrown property we bought. I finally gave it to him and ordered another one for myself. Definitely recommend. Just remember it's a pull and cut tool and not a hack and cut

Cuts great - Handle slips
Everything about this product is great other than the handle slipping as you use it. Very sharp durable edge. Handle is comfortable but you have to constantly slip it back up into place.
