Joel Osteen radiates happiness and the joy of the Lord on this excellently designed book cover. You also have to love an author who in includes his wife in his author picture on the back. As the pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas - he encourages Christian to realize their blessings and inspires them with his positive message of hope as God works to bring good into their lives. On of the main things he encourages is to live with an attitude of gratitude and gratefulness.In this book you will learn why some people are more blessed than others. Could it be their attitude of gratefulness? Or do they just seek God more and get God's full attention? Joel Osteen encourages readers to "Chase after God." By this he means read your Bible and pray. There are lots of practical ideas for how to put the principles into practice.If you feel you are dealing with negative situations there is help for that too. The last half of the book is filled with meaningful Bible verses divided into categories that make complete sense.I feel this whole book has a spiritually uplifting message based on biblical teachings. Far too often people accuse Joel Osteen of being a prosperity gospel preacher and therefore dismiss all his wisdom. I'm here to say that since I started reading his books a lot of good things have happened to me. God has turned all bad situations into good. To me Joel Osteen is a motivational pastor who really is just a sane voice of truth. His ideas are biblically based.I think you will be blessed and spiritually healed by reading this book over and over again. I first read the paperback and now have the Kindle edition. This book is one you will want to share with all your friends. It is that meaningful and inspired. There is so much darkness in the world - Joel Osteen is a bright shining light pointing to hope and a better life. I am always grateful that he produces such wonderful books for those of us who need encouragement or want to encourage others.~The Rebecca Review

I was in a really tough spot, questioning almost every aspect of my life. I ordered this book, went away for a week, and the book was waiting on my bed when I returned. I opened it up, and my view of myself hasn't been the same since. In the last two weeks, I've discovered new job opportunities, have begun speaking with an amazing woman, have discovered a great way to make some secondary income, have been pushing the limits at the gym, and have been focusing a lot on what I put into my body. I read a passage every day , and it sets the tone. I've already recommended it to a friend who has been having a rough week with her family, her new job, and coping with a broken heart. This book opened my eyes, my mind, and my heart!

This is a must read! Helped me get back on track to God's love and purpose for me. I was starting to lose faith, just depressed and didn't know which way to turn. this is another positive, uplifting read from Joel Osteen. As stated in the title, we can all use a fresh start and everyday can be the start for you. reading this book can be an aid and inspiration to change your ways , whether its insecurity, anger, depression, fear or negativity. Filled with relevant inspiring Scripture verses on topics that will assist you in keeping God first in your life and becoming more appreciative of what you have and more accepting of what happens to you. Included is appendixes containing recommended 1 yr. Bible reading plans, Scriptures on the power of your word and daily positive confessions. You can't help but feel better when reading such encouraging verse, the challenge is when you put the book down. This is a quick read and you can pick any page to read and you will be positively affected. Get a fresh start with this book.

Very good keys to staying connected with God. When we put our plan in action and keep God first place in our lives, and seek God daily, we cannot out run the blesses of God. When we choose to chase after God, and not money, fame, fortune, or possessions, we will experience God's favor. And in His presence there is fullness of peace, joy, and victory. However, we have to understand these principles and apply them to our every day lives. We have to put our faith into action, because faith without works is dead. When we keep God in first place, He'll show us favor and take us places that we've never even dreamed of. Another great read by Pastor Joel.

I received this book a week ago today and I just thing it is just a wonderful book to read. There are a lot of positive,encouraging, and inspiring messages that makes me feel so good about myself and life which are very helpful. I watch Joel Osteen's program every Sunday on channel 5 and I think his messages are just amazing. These messages also give me a different outlook on life for the better. I plan to receive these messages for many years to come and as long as I can.

This simple book has been a great jump start for me. Don't underestimate the simplicity of this book. This book is meant for motivational purposes and if you are ready to make some changes and go for it, this book is a fast and effective method. I really like how it's divided into two sections. The first half is the book and the second half is just an index of useful scriptures to use to motivate you on various occasions. I devoured this book in just there days.

I rate this book 5 stars because it has awaken my spirit. I know that my live will never be the same from now on. This book has blessed me and will be a blessing to my children. Thank you Joel Osteen may my God continue to filled your life with more knowledge so you will continue to be a blessing.I will recommend it to my friends

I have read several of Joel's books and have loved every one of them. He has such a positive and determined way of communicating that is very uplifting and great to read.Again, I have left longer reviews on Joel's other books but it is a testament to him that I have now read several of them!If you are looking for a more positive, mindful and fulfilling life then his books are a must. I will also state that he is an American preacher and does reference the bible on times, but even if you feel that you aren't the religious type, Joel is very inclusive and he does it in such a contemporary way that I feel anybody can relate to what he says. Just be open minded on some of the vocabulary used....

I loved this book and I would recommend it to most people from young adulthood upwards. The book contains helpful advice (with a Christian theme) on how to cope through life by maintaining a positive attitude and by knowing that it is never to late to begin again when difficulty strikes. The book is an easy and pleasant read, with scripture quotes at the back and useful guidelines.

Joel is ALWAYS inspiring and profound , making all concepts easy to understand and apply.He is truly guided for this purpose and I highly recommend any and ALL of his work.He is truly a gem, no matter what your spiritual or religious background.
