Black Diamond Stoneworks Wood & Laminate Floor Cleaner: For Hardwood, Real, Natural & Engineered Flooring –Biodegradable Safe for Cleaning All Floors

While I was very excited to use this product for my hardwood laminate floors, my excitement changed to disgust shortly after using. It SEEMS like it is cleaning the floor well, but to my surprise, I learned that it left a film on the floor that eventually would get picked up by either stocking or bare feet. The bottoms of my socks eventually started turning black. The bottoms of my bare feet would get dirty as well after cleaning with this product. This dirty film would eventually get transferred over to my brand new carpeting when I would walk from the laminate flooring into my bedrooms. I thought, surely, it can't be the cleaner so I did some experiments. I cleaned my floors thoroughly with a water and vinegar mixture (spray on the floor and scrub with the floor chamois) after several cleanings of this nature, I was convinced that the floors were completely clean and my feet and socks no longer got dirty. I then went back to the Black Diamond cleaner and the blackness started showing up again.I do not recommend this product if you want to get your floors clean. Instead, save yourself some headache, money and time by simply filling a spray bottle with half water and half white vinegar. Then use like you would the black diamond cleaner. It is much more effective at cleaning and does not leave a filthy residue behind.

I recently installed Brazillian cherry engineered hardwood flooring in my kitchen and dining rooms. I have laminate in other parts of my house, and I have always had streaks regardless of what kind of cleaner I used. I decided to give the Black Diamond floor cleaner a shot before I used any other cleaning fluids. It takes a lot to impress me, but I already know that I will never use any other cleaner besides Black Diamond on my floors. We have had tons of rain this winter, and my dogs always have muddy feet even after I wipe them with towels. The Black Diamond cleaner cuts through the muddy paws prints. It also easily removed any mystery spots that appear in the kitchen floor while I am cooking.I use a Genuine Joe cotton dust mop on a daily basis. When a deeper cleaning is needed, I switch the mop head to the Genuine Joe microfiber mop head. I use a spray bottle to squirt the Black Diamond on the floor, and then I mop using the microfiber head following the direction of the wood grain. I don't have any streaks at all on my floors. The scent is a light, clean scent. It reminds me of a fabric softener smell.

I have tried so many floor cleaners for my mostly matte, wood laminate flooring, and this Black Diamond brand is by far the best I’ve come across. Bruce was recommended to us when we purchased our flooring by the manufacturer, so we began with that, and for awhile, it seemed to perform satisfactorily, until I began to notice a waxy buildup. My floors started looking filthy constantly after we adopted our two dogs, so I went in search of something new. The next brand that I tried promised to “rejuvenate”. I loved it for awhile because it made my matte floors shiny, but they soon became overwhelmingly sticky, and it was a nightmare getting that stuff off! Then, I came across Black Diamond and decided to go with it after reading positive feedback. I am so happy I found this!!! I sweep my floors with a broom, first, then dry mop with a microfiber dust mop. Finally, using a clean microfiber mop, I follow the instructions on the bottle with great results. This leaves my floors very clean with a little bit of shine (matte laminate is not supposed to be shiny, but I like mine to look a little bit shiny) and absolutely no film or residue. We just had vinyl plank flooring installed in our kitchen, and I use it on that, as well, with great results. If you’re looking to avoid having to clean up the mess that other products leave behind or can’t stand the smell of vinegar to clean your floors (Black Diamond has a light, fresh scent), this is a fabulous product!

I really wanted to like this. When I first got my dark espresso Mohawk Engineered wood floors 5 years ago, I was told by everyone "You need to use Bona!". So I bought Bona and was not impressed. We have 3 dogs that slobber and drip water from their mouths after drinking all over the floor. The Bona would just go right over the slobber marks and leave the slobber mark there. Nothing. You would have to scrub scrub scrub with the mop just to get the slobber mark off.Next I read somewhere online to try Bruce Hardwood floor cleaner. The only place I could find it in store was at our local Ace Hardware. Looks like Amazon now carries it to.  Bruce Laminate And Hardwood Floor Cleaner 64oz . I tried it and was amazed. In one swipe it took off the slobber marks and left my floors streak free and no film. And even left them looking great after being walked on for a few days. Awesome. For the last 4+ years I have been buying out the stock of Bruce Hardwood floor cleaner from my local Ace whenever I could.Lately I have been kinda thinking that my floors need a really good thorough cleaning because I was hallucinating into thinking there is a buildup on my floors and they were not as shiny as they used to be. (Honestly I think it's just age and normal wear and tear that has reduced the initial shine). So I went on the hunt for a new cleaner thinking that would solve my problem. After all the positive reviews on this one, I decided to order Black Diamond.Let me just get out of the way that I don't typically mop my own floors that often. I HATE cleaning. I have cleaning ladies that come once a week and clean my house. Yesterday was my cleaning day. I normally leave out the Bruce cleaner for them to use. This time I left out the Black Diamond instead. When I returned home, I looked at my floors downstairs and thought, "Wow! They look great!!!" (wait for it....... keep reading). The cleaning ladies had left me a note out on my table next to the bottle of Black Diamond. It read "Ms Karina, we wanted to let you know that the new floor cleaner you left out does not work as well as the Bruce on your floors. We used Black Diamond on the upstairs floor, and the Bruce on the downstairs floor so you could see the difference." Sure enough. I went upstairs to find my floors streaky and with a cloudy residue. After only a few hours of our family of 5 walking around on it, it looks TERRIBLE! (See the pic attached).I will be going back to my tried and true Bruce Hardwood Floor cleaner in the green bottle. I hope this review helps someone else.

I used 2 other products and they don't compare to how my floor looks now.

I bought solely because I was so impressed with the tile cleaner they also produce.The wood floor cleaner does not need dilution, you just spray a bit at a time onto the floor then use a dry mop on the area and move along. It makes the dark wood flooring in our dining room gleam, but not quite so impressed with its results on the laminate floor area in the breakfast room as it doesn't take off some spillage marks although it does leave the rest of the floor looking clean.

Only use on a bit of my floor but so far so good, a very neutral smell which I like, very cheap considering how well it brings up your floors, be warned if you are looking for a shiny for this product does not dry with a shine which suits me as I prefer the natural look

I expected an immediate shine on the wood floors. I did clean the wood first with a damp cloth and tried it on a staircase first to see how I would be able to apply it. As I applied it there was a gleam which was very satisfying. However, it dried as a dull surface and seems to have taken away the original shine which I had been hoping to improve. I have not given up. I hope that the next application will reintroduce a shine which I will build on. I will be working on this today and will report again later!

This is really good for my laminate flooring, I spray it in a small section and use MR. SIGA Microfiber Floor (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0133LB7NQ/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I do this section by section, so it allows me to work from one end of the room to the other.It leaves no streaks or marks... just perfect
