This boat is awesome.
This boat is awesome. It is well made with ABS impact-resistant plastic. Boat is sturdy, well balanced, fast and responsive. This boat does not use rudder to turn, it use 1 of 2 propeller to turn. The battery lasting up to 10 minutes on average and it takes 2 hours to fully charged battery.MAKE SURE to put the boat ON THE WATER for the 2 propellers to work (the water become conductive between 2 metal propeller rods)

A fun toy for the kids
What a fun little boat. I was surprised at its diminutive size but was pleased when I used it.Rechargable battery (included) charges from the supplied USB cable or off a 5v USB or if you are out, from a battery/solar cell with USB.Self righting and the only part that comes off is the cabin and thats where the removable battery site. - easy to plug and unplug.Being a small boat it bounces over waves but is meant for ponds and streams and thats where its at home.Good performance, good operation and durability.

Description is pretty misleading, but they're good small-scale water toys
Bought this for my three boys, ages 11, 8, and 6. I bought one of each color (red, blue, and orange). We've just finished using them for the first time, and this is what I've noticed:Pros: They make nice, sharp turns to the left and right. The price is nice for an rc boat. The controller is easy to use, even for little ones, and fit nicely into my 6-year-old's hands, even though he's small for his age. The plastic is thick and sturdy. When the battery starts to die you can only maneuver one propeller at a time, so you know to get it to shore quicly.Cons: The description says they're four-channel. Nope. They are one channel per color of boat, and three colors to choose from. In other words, don't expect to be able to switch the channel on one specific boat - there's only one per boat, but each color of boat comes in a different frequency. Description states that they're easy to turn upright if they flip over. Nope. One of our boats flipped after a minor bump with his brother's boat and it was impossible to turn upright. One review said you just put it in reverse, then quickly put it in forward, and the boat would re-right itself. The boat's two propellers didn't even sit in the water when upside down. Dad had to wade into the pond to retrieve it. Battery life was only about 7 minutes on each one of them. All three of the boats were wet on the inside, where the batteries are stored, upon the end of play time, and there was a slight electric smell coming from the battery compartment. They aren't water tight. The description says it will move at 25 mph. Maybe that's a scale comparision (if the boats were full size they could do this)? These don't go over 5 or 6 mph, so it was pretty misleading for someone who is ordering without rc boat experience. In conclusion, they would be a great bath/pool toy, but when you get it out on a pond or in large-scale water, they fail to impress. It did make the kids smile, though, because they could control something on the water. At least they'll have something to do when we go fishing and they get tired before the others in the group. Be careful to keep it close to shore after 5 minutes or so.

Great summer gift
This is a great summer gift for my 6 year old grandson. We will probably be buying another one so my kids can have dueling boats this summer!Good size, and easy to drive on the water. Everything worked well and it is quite fun for an electric boat.

Good for kids in a pool, QC problems might bite you
I bought 2 of these, at differing frequencies, correct two 6yr old boys to use in the pool (20' * 40'). Despite the box saying age 14+, I'd say my usage is the right age group and type of water. As said these aren't that fast but they are just the right speed for a newbie to RC. They maneuverable well though reverse is really slow (and not really needed). For the tech minded these aren't proportionally controlled, there are two engines in a boat and each is off or fully on (forward or reverse). The throttle sticks could have been replaced by 4 buttons. Still for the price and usage, this is fine. Less fine is that I had to fix one remote, the use of NiCad batteries, and that one boat stutters (?cavitation?).

Having race with my son
I bought this boat just want to have a racing with my son. The boat seems not support for two play at the same time. So I bought another one for my son. The unit works well when touch the water. The size of the controller is ok for my son.

Poor quality total waste of monies.
Poor Quality product. I don’t know where the reviews are coming from but $1 is too much.We put in on water and within one hour the boat was submerged in water. We dried it out and luckily it was working again.Next day we charged the battery, put it in a pool and after 10 min the boat was submerged in water and battery died.My kid was so excited and we couldn’t be more disappointed.

Junk
Bought three of these. Could not get any to work. Cheap junk. I would buy a remote controlled boat if I could find one made in the USA.
