Wire nuts are for a reason.
Every once in a while, a project comes up and I need wire nuts. A kit like this is really all I need for my camper upgrade to LED lights inside and out. Great for wiring a new car stereo and speakers too. Never ever wire up anything without some form of solid protection on the wires! Do not use tape in place of a wire nut as I've seen other do and if possible, solder the wires together and then put a wire nut on it. Wire nuts are cheap and will offer far better protection against short circuits and possible fire. Also note that in-line wiring, soldering and shrink tubing is also ideal for low voltage applications as well. Check the wiring, color coding if applicable, and make sure the wiring is not getting hot or melting any rubber or plastic outer coating as a precaution. Most of all, safety first.

Good little assortment
Nice little kit of twist-style wire connectors. Not a huge supply, but just enough for the DIY-er and various projects around the house. If I ever run out, I would buy this kit again. Comes neatly organized in a small and convenient case. Easily stashable in a tool bag.
