Portable leather case for HIDIZS AP80 HiFi Lossless Music Player- Non functional
This case does not fit the player as site states. It is an extremely tight fit, risking damage to the player if forcing it then you cannot remove it. I also does not line up with buttons, etc. of player. See pictures.

Beautiful case but flawed design makes it difficult to use
This is a beautifully made case that unfortunately suffers from some major design flaws which, for me, make it basically unusable. The description says “slip the Hidizs AP80 in or take it out within seconds”, however, the case is so tight fitting that you really have to give the AP80 a strong push to get it all the way in the case to the point where the openings for the transport controls properly line up. Unfortunately, this means removing the AP80 is extremely difficult, taking much more than “seconds” to remove. There’s really nowhere to grip the player except by the top and the volume wheel and attempt to wiggle it out, and this really caused me concern as far as grabbing and pulling on the wheel. When it’s all the way in the case, it’s extremely difficult to press the transport buttons on the side. The leather is so thick that unless you use the tip of a fingernail, you can’t press the buttons properly. The case offers a significant amount of protection, except for the top edge - even when pushed in as far as it will go, if you drop the AP80, you can still manage to have the top edges impact the ground - having a higher top edge would offer a lot more protection. On the bottom of the case, the opening for the USB charger is actually too small to accommodate the cable supplied with the AP80 - even pressing hard, you can’t fit the plug through the opening, which would require you to remove the AP80 from the case to charge it. I have another USB cable with a smaller plug that fits through the opening, however either having to purchase another cable besides the one supplied, or removing the unit from the case to charge it really defeats the purpose of keeping it in the case. Finally, and for me which is a MAJOR flaw, is that there’s no ability to access the Micro SD card while the player is in the case. I have a large collection of music on a number of Micro SD cards, and swap them in and out frequently. Not being able to do this without struggling to get the player in and out of the case makes it almost pointless to carry additional cards with you if you’re on the go.The AP80 ships with a form fitting silicone case which is actually a better case for the unit. It is form fitting and allows you to access the controls and USB port, but there’s still no access to the SD card. At lease the case is super fast to take on and off. If it were a little bit thicker, it would be perfect.Sadly, I own two of these cases. I purchased the brown one from Amazon before realizing that they were available in black, but not from Amazon. I order a black case from Hidizs since it looked so good, and when it arrived, it was just as great looking and well made as the brown one, but suffered from the same problems. So now I’ve spent twice the money on two cases that for me are basically unusable. With a few tweaks, this could be an awesome case, but as it is, I would have never purchased it had I known its shortcomings.

Hiding player leather cover
The case broke placing the device inside. Look like leather but is not. Waste of money

** Take Note ** The AP80 and the AP80 Pro Are Not the Same
I ordered this for my AP80 Pro and it did not fit. There was also a hole missing for the balanced output. Turns out this case is for the AP80 ONLY. There is a separate case for the AP80 Pro here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D98WQGD/?coliid=I1IMN4MZGXY836&colid=VX1CXYNSY7AT&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it The Pro case does not have the armband or flap due to the need of an additional headphone jack/hole.Overall, the case is ok, not awesome, but good. Four stars. I don’t know about the Pro case as it is not in stock. Stay Tooned!

Not as good as the AP60 case
Unfortunately there is no cover for protection of the screen with this case. The flap with the snap is to help secure the arm band strap. On the AP60 case there was a loop sewn on the back for the strap and the flap was used to fold over and cover the screen (nice design). They could have easily done the same here using the flap for screen protection instead. Really kind of useless. The fit is extremely tight forcing you to use something to push the player out from the bottom (I found a piece of plastic that will not scratch the player). On the AP60 case the player just snapped into 2 side brackets and was easily removed. Also you could removethe micro SD card without taking the player out of the case. With this one you must push the player out each timeyou want to change cards.Seems to me the designer wanted to be stylish instead of practical. $25 for this is way to much for it's lack of functionality. The silicone cover that comes with the player is loose and also kind of useless.Hopefully someone else will design a case that will offer better protection. If the price has been about $15 it would have been less an issue, I see that the black one is $50....really way too much! One plus...the case does seem to be well made.
